Capitol Square Tour

On this guided walking tour students explore the Virginia State Capitol's history, architecture and monuments.

During this walking tour, students will explore the history and architecture of Capitol Square while also learning about various monuments, including Mantle and the Virginia Women’s Monument.

Program Objectives: Students will identify the various histories that can be found on Capitol Square, while also gaining insight into the history of Richmond.

  • Programs are always free for RPS and Title 1 schools. Funding available based on need for other programs upon request.
