The Valentine’s curriculum for adults seeks to expand a person’s appreciation of Richmond’s past. Audiovisual presentations are conducted by the Valentine’s curatorial and education staff and, when held on-site, can include related artifacts from the collection or a current exhibition. We offer the following options for groups. Reservations are required for groups of ten or more.
Groups of 10 or more can arrange special guided tours of the 1812 John Wickham House, a National Historic Landmark and one of the Valentine's greatest treasures. Creating History: The Valentine Family and the Creation of a Museum is available on the second floor of the Wickham House.
Galleries are self-guided and contain a variety of exhibitions.
Specially designed for delivery at your location, these lectures are available at your site or ours! Investigate the past with these engaging hands-on programs based on the Valentine’s extensive collection of photographs and primary sources.
Our tours can be customized to fit an individual group’s need, or the group can select from a variety of existing tours.
