Richmond History Makers

Richmond History Makers 2024

Since 2005, the Richmond History Makers (RHM) program has honored everyday individuals and organizations that are having a significant impact on the Greater Richmond Region at that particular moment in time.

For the Valentine’s 19th Annual Richmond History Makers event, we’re switching it up a bit in honor of our 125th Anniversary. This year we’ll honor five categories that have had an enormous impact on the history of the Richmond Region over the last 125 years:

The James River
Arts & Public Memory
Family & Community Philanthropy
Education
Civil Rights & Advocacy

Within each category, we will acknowledge a group of nominees that were submitted this year as part of our public nomination process.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Valentine will be tenting off our beautiful block of Clay Street for what will be an exciting night in partnership with Studio Two Three. Enjoy food, drinks, music and fun as we honor our Richmond History Makers.

Valet parking will be available for the night. To access the valet, navigate to our parking lot at 407 N. 10th Street.

All proceeds and donations benefit the Valentine’s mission.
