Take a walk on Capitol Square and hear about the history of the monuments on the grounds of our state Capitol, including the Washington Equestrian Monument, the Civil Rights Monument, The Mantle: Virginia Indian Tribute, Voices from the Garden: Virginia Women’s Monument, Harry F. Byrd’s statue and more. Whose voices are uplifted by these monuments and whose are missing? How does public memory change over time?
