In 2037, how would you like Richmond to look, work and feel? The Valentine’s Controversy/History series is partnering with Richmond 300, the city’s master planning process, to explore big questions about the kind of city we hope to become.
On October 1, join us to explore the past, present and future of land use in Richmond. From the Bartholomew plan, which set the stage for future displacement of African-American communities to the current planning process and our goals for the future, hear from Dr. Brittany Keegan of the Virginia Commonwealth University Land Use Education Program and Bernard Harkless of Richmond 300.
The series is designed to foster reflection on where we were, where we are and where we hope to be as a city. This event is co-hosted by Valentine Director William Martin and Coffee With Strangers RVA host Kelli Lemon.
