Join us for a gallery talk with the Monument Avenue: General Devotion/ General Demotion competition jury. Jurors will discuss design highlights, emerging themes and exciting concepts among the ideas submitted to the competition for Richmond’s most famous boulevard.

Monument Avenue: General Devotion/ General Demotion features the finalists of an international design competition that challenged artists, planners, architects and others to conceptually re-imagine Monument Avenue. Organized in partnership with Storefront for Community Design and VCUarts, the competition received 70 submissions, with the top 20 designs selected by the competition jury for exhibition and on view at the Valentine through December 1, 2019.
