November 28 is Museum Store Sunday, a global annual event celebrating museum stores and their mission-related products, which play a vital role in helping non-profit attractions educate and thrive.
On Museum Store Sunday, look forward to professional and complementary gift wrapping, personal shopping appointments, hot chocolate, and prizes all day long! With a wide selection of locally made and Richmond inspired goods, you’ll find gifts for family and friends of all ages and interests in the Valentine Museum Store. Shop for the holidays with a special discount while supporting the museum’s service to the Richmond community. All visitors will receive 20% off, while members will receive an extra 5% off! Stay tuned for participating online! We offer curbside pickup, free local delivery for orders over $50 and shipping options.
Gayle Jessup White will also bring a live book talk and signing to The Valentine from 1:00-3:00 pm on Museum Store Sunday. White, a Black descendant of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings’ family, will be present to sign copies of her new book Reclamation, in which she chronicles her remarkable journey to definitively understand her heritage and reclaim it as a Black woman in America.
