Valentine First Freedom Center Open House

January 16 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us on Saturday, January 15 and Sunday, January 16, from noon to 4 p.m. for a family-friendly celebration of Religious Freedom Day!

Visit the Valentine First Freedom Center to learn about Richmond’s important role in the establishment of the Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom.

Take a self-guided walking tour of the historic Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. The walking tour route is an easy one-mile loop that explores the struggles for freedom that helped shape America. Self–serve refreshments and a fun eye-spy activity for kids will be available at the First Freedom Center!

The Valentine First Freedom Center in Shockoe Bottom is dedicated to sharing the legacy of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom and exploring the evolution of freedom of conscience through the modern day.

Please note that event details may be subject to change based on public health guidelines.
