Join us for a guided introduction to the temporary exhibition Monumental: Richmond’s Monuments 1607 – 2018 and learn about the history of monuments in Richmond, from the earliest example erected by colonists on the banks of the James River to proposed future monuments. On this 30 minute gallery tour, a Valentine Educator will lead your group in a conversation on this timely topic as you explore the city’s long history with public monuments, contemplate their significance today and consider their future as a reflection of Richmond’s collective values.
