Student City Tours

A group of children and adults is shown gathered in a circle and conversing. Behind them is the monument of George Washington on horseback at the Virginia State Capitol.

Use the City as your classroom!  Valentine walking and bus tours can be customized to meet your instructional needs and interests.  From the history of the James River & Canal System to murals in Jackson Ward and Neoclassical architecture in Richmond’s Court End neighborhood, the Valentine’s city tours connect with your curriculum while highlighting history across our landscape!  All programs are compatible with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) and are free for Title 1 schools.
