Join us for a virtual celebration of Religious Freedom Day on Friday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. with special guests Cantor Sarah Beck-Berman of Congregation Beth Ahabah and Dr. Alan Taylor, who will present on “Religious Freedom in Revolutionary Virginia.” Dr. Taylor is the University of Virginia Department of History Thomas Jefferson Foundation Chair, and author of “American Republics: A Continental History of the United States, 1783–1850”.

The Valentine First Freedom Center in Shockoe Bottom (located at 14 S. 14th Street, Richmond, VA 23219) is dedicated to sharing the legacy of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom and exploring the evolution of freedom of conscience through the modern day.
