Join us for a special event featuring local author Gayle Jessup White, a Black descendant of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings’ family. Ms. White will present her new book Reclamation, in which she chronicles her remarkable journey to definitively understand her heritage and reclaim it as a Black woman in America. After a short presentation, Ms. White will answer be available to answer questions and sign copies of her book from 1-3 p.m. on Museum Store Sunday, November 28th.
