Union Hill and North Church Hill
Sunday, July 2 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m.
Long separated from the rest of Church Hill by a deep ravine, Union Hill’s physical isolation led to its development as an independent community with a unique plan and distinct architectural character. Join us as we walk through Union Hill and North Church Hill, exploring the history and relationship of these sister neighborhoods. Meet at Jefferson Park, at the corner of North 21st Street and Princess Anne Avenue.
In addition to learning about the history and revitalization of these neighborhoods we will be stopping at two local hot spots for samples! Roaring Pines will provide sample drinks and Sub Rosa will have a pastries tasting for tour participants. Please bring along a few extra dollars ($2.00 at each place) if you would like to enjoy these samplings.
