The Valentine Museum and the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia invite educators in the central Virginia region to participate in a collaborative professional development workshop filled with history, learning and the sharing of historical resources that can help educators of all levels connect, communicate and inspire their students to learn about Black history in Richmond.
Beginning with a walking tour, discover the murals and the story of one of Richmond’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Join Saajida Chohan, Director of Education & Visitor Experience at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center, and Robert Burton, Middle and High School Programs Coordinator with the Valentine. Discover exceptional programming and primary sources that will enrich your educational initiatives and elevate your students’ learning experiences.
