Adult Programs & Tours Manager

The Adult Programs and Tours Manager has primary responsibility for coordinating adult programs and group visits at the Valentine and Valentine First Freedom Center, the Richmond History Tours program (public and private) and the Valentine Internship Program. The Adult Programs and Tours Manager schedules interactive history adult programs onsite and outreach, college visits, special onsite programs for adult groups. Responsibilities include customer service, staff scheduling (Valentine Educators and Tour Guides), sales and reservations, program development and planning. S/he actively supports the Director of Education and Engagement and the Valentine’s marketing plan while working as an active team member in support of the goals of the Education and Engagement Department.

Annual Giving & Donor Relations Manager

The Valentine seeks a motivated, full-time Annual Giving and Donor Relations Manager to strengthen and grow the Museum’s existing individual annual fund support and membership programs, cultivating lasting relationships with donors, planning and executing member events and building community. The Annual Giving and Donor Relations Manager is an integral part of the Advancement team and will report to the Museum’s Director of Advancement.

Visitor Services Associate (VSA)

Status: Part Time/Non-exempt
Reports to: Visitor Services Manager

The Visitor Services Associate is the first impression for the museum and the museum store. He/she has responsibility for implementing the daily procedures at the front desk.  He/she is a primary source of access and communication within The Valentine. This person answers and directs phone calls or other inquires, processes admissions fees, takes and processes reservations for the public walking and bus tours, conducts sales in the museum store, helps to provide security for The Valentine by issuing badges and keeping logs for visitors to restricted areas, and provides tours of the 1812 Wickham House.  Weekend availability required.
