Lost Cause and Public Memory – Teacher Workshop

Join Christina Vida, Valentine Curator of General Collections, for an intimate tour and conversation in Sculpting History and the ‘Lost Cause’ American Myth, which uses artwork, documents, objects, images, quotations and questions to connect the Lost Cause myth to today. Learn how the Valentine uses objects to tell stories about our community and how you can use this method in the classroom to develop your students’ historical literacy skills.
